I only subscribe to two substack newsletters -- yours and Erin's. Both speak to me as part of the choir -- living in a too-small home, gardening, and trying my best to lessen my impact on the world in which I live. Would love to win this book.

I pre-ordered this book for a friend’s birthday ( I deemed her much more crafty than I). And then it arrived, and I looked through it, and decided to order a copy for myself! Love both your and Erin’s work and glad I can be a paid supporter for you both.

That is what every author hopes might happen!

I recently discovered the sewing machines at my public library! This book would be great for continuing to explore it...

People keep telling me about all the amazing things their libraries have these days, but this is the first I have heard about sewing machines!!!

I am not a remotely crafty person (in other words, *not* a good candidate for this giveaway!), but just wanted to say I am so inspired by Erin and Rose’s up-cycling talents and commitment to creating as an alternative to consuming. Thanks for featuring their work!

What an great review! The DIY/maker gene that runs strong in my family seems to have skipped me but I'm inspired to give it a try.

I used to make things, but I’ve gotten away from it. Would love to get back to that perspective!

Just subscribed today - AHP led me to Your House Machine which led me to Living Small. As soon as I stumbled upon the review of Sophie Donelson’s book I knew I was in the right place.

I loved reading this. It reminded me of one of the reasons I love cooking and baking so much. Yes, I can buy salad dressing, granola, pasta sauce, and bread (and trust me, I usually buy bread!), but there's something so rewarding about making it myself.

Hoping I might be the lucky winner - I actually have a tissue box cover on my to-eventually-obtain list! I subscribed earlier this year and I look forward to this newsletter every week, Laura.

this looks like SUCH a cool book! I like that unlike the accursed crafts of my childhood, these don't seem to require great artistic talent or skill...they seem like projects I could do that would be useful!

You really can pick it up and start making things right away.

My daughter gifted this newsletter and I love it! This new book looks so inspiring! I was just telling our handyman redoing our entryway to save me the scraps from the renovation so I could make something from it (instead of going in the trash!)

Luci, I love that your daughter gifted you the newsletter!
