I also simply adored my shop class (for me it was in middle school, which is kind of surprising now that I think of it). There's something so empowering about learning to make things with your hands. And I never drew the connection between shop and my interest in shaping my space, but it's entirely possible one led to the other or that my interest in both comes from the same place.
