Congrats on three years! On the color blocked shelves: I’m always encouraging people to paint the inside of their cabinets, *especially* in a color they love but think is too much for the cabinets (or walls). It’s like a little gift to yourself every time you open them.
I love this!!!! what a great idea. I'm a little scared of bright colors in my humble 1 bedroom apartment and making it feel overwhelming but this idea is perfect. I also recommend doing a fun pattern of peel in stick to recover a small surface or shelf. The little instant pop is lovely!

We have a house from 1950 where not much was done since and every built-in cabinet had a different color. Makes me happy every time I collect firewood, seeing the lovely maroon color underneath the basement stairs. And seeing these pictures, those shelves are on my short list for the kitchen reno 🤩
The noodle and broccoli dish looks soo good, will try it this weekend 😄
